Advanced Placement (AP)
Advanced Placement is a Calgary Board of Education Program of Academic Excellence in a variety of subject areas that will broaden your intellectual horizons. In Advanced Placement you study subjects in greater depth and detail and explore the world through a variety of perspectives. Through Advanced Placement Exams you have the opportunity to earn advanced credit at most colleges and universities.
Interested Grade 9 students and their parents can obtain more information on the AP Program by calling one of the nine Senior High schools currently offering the AP program or by attending an open house/information evening:

IB is offered in more than 1200 schools in over 110 countries and is a Calgary Board of Education Program of Academic Excellence. The IB Programme provides a comprehensive, balanced and challenging curriculum with a strong emphasis on the ideals of international understanding and responsible citizenship.
