Is the offer only available in Alberta?
Yes, at this time the offer is only available to those who are buying a home or condo unit in Alberta (including those moving to Alberta from another province.)
What types of properties are eligible for the offer?
The offer is valid on detached, single-family homes and condominium units. In addition:
The property must be your primary principal residence (where you will live most of the year).
The property purchase price cannot exceed $1.2 million.
Are any types of properties not eligible for the offer?
Primary residences with a purchase price exceeding $1.2 million, mobile homes, secondary/vacation homes and seasonal homes that you occupy for only part of the year are not eligible for the offer. In addition, the offer is not valid on a home or condo unit that you are purchasing for someone else or that you plan to rent out (and not live at).
What coverage is included with the offer?
You will receive our most complete home insurance plan: Enhanced Plus for Homeowners or Enhanced Plus for Condo Owners . You'll have protection against the widest range of risks to your property that we have available which includes our maximum coverage for your personal belongings.
Will I need to provide Proof of Purchase to RBC Insurance®?
Yes, you will need to provide us with Proof of Purchase of your new home within 30 days of the sale/closing date.
Will RBC Insurance notify my mortgage lender of my insurance coverage?
Yes, we will provide confirmation of your insurance coverage to your mortgage lender (if applicable).

The offer consists of 12 months of premium for the Enhanced Plus policy covering the applicant’s principal residence. Endorsements and additional features will be charged at regular rates. All applications are subject to regular underwriting rules and qualifications. Certain conditions apply to the offer, not valid in conjunction with other offers.
