Q: i want to ask about the method of sizing the vent pipes of storage water tank
A: You must know the maximum discharge flow from the tank and select an entering/leaving air hole whith very low differential pressure across it, pipe and mesh (if you see an API tank detail you will a "goose neck" for venting).A rule of thumb for API tanks is to do the venting hole one or two pipe size bigger than pump suction (i.e. if pump suction pipe is 8" a 10" "goose neck" should be enough)
